One common grievance revolves around the wait time for food. Though everything is made fresh to order, some patrons lament the lack of a quick service option during busy hours. Certain seating arrangements have also drawn criticism; some patrons note discomfort in the seats, especially during long visits on warmer days. Additionally, the tipping system has raised eyebrows, as customers are prompted to tip at the time of ordering instead of at the end of their meal. While many don’t mind tipping for excellent service, some would prefer to reward based on the entire dining experience, not just the order placement. Lastly, during peak hours, it may feel crowded, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.

What an amazing place. We’ve been twice in the last couple of weeks, once with our neighbors kids and once on our own for soft serve ice cream. Today we had regular and kids wowburgers, a corn dog, a BLT sandwich all of which were meals complete with delicious fries and soda, then we added two shakes on the side. Everything was delicious, everything was hot, the fries were exceptional and the kids thought the shakes were great. I loved the sign on the front of the counter that explained everything is made to order, no heat lamps are used to keep precooked foods warm, so there will be a little wait for your food. That’s OK it was worth it. There are plenty of places to sit outside, mostly in the shade and a few places inside but mostly the seats are uncomfortable and it’s hot so this is not a place to take a first date. My one complaint is that they expect a tip as you place your order and pay for your food at the counter. Please pay your excellent staff well enough so that they don’t have to beg for tips that would normally be paid at the end of the meal to reward good service.

This is more then just a ice cream shop this is a permanent fixture in our community. I remember my mom telling me her best friends first ever job in the 80s was there. As a little girl I remember enjoying not only the delicious ice cream but playing on their outside playset. As a teen my reading rumble book competition team in high school went to celebrate our second place when with a sundae. Early into dating my now husband that was one of our date spots. This place has more then delicious ice cream and delectable curly fries it holds memories and is nostalgia. Please never close and also never get rid of the peanut butter cup sundae my family's favorite item on the menu. That was my mom's favorite and after my loosing my mom 5 years ago everytime I have one I like to think I'm sharing it with her. (This sundae comes with cherries but I always ask for none)

First time coming here. The shakes are authentic with most of the ice cream flavors to choose from (recommend the Carmel) absolutely delicious. The fries are fresh, the fried zucchini (worth coming back for), the hot dog was OK. Overall happy with the food and service.

Older establishment but makes up for it in very yummy food. Everything is made fresh for every order. The fries are, no exaggeration, the BEST fries I've ever had! It's worth the couple extra minutes for those fries!! My kids get the chicken strips and they are also very tasty! And well seasoned! Seriously, one of the best American food restaurants in the Tampa area!

Its a little mom and pop shop. Their fries are the best. They offer a nostalgic atmosphere with the old time flavors. All your favorites. The grill makes a bomb of a philly steak. The service is welcoming, smiles and makes you want to return. One of my favorites.
